Phosphatidylcholine is a liquid form of Lecithin, an enzyme naturally produced by our body and is a main component of all cell membranes and circulating lipoproteins. It is specifically a bile acid, produced by the bacterial metabolism of bile acids released from the liver into the intestine. This substance disturbs the balance of the phospholipid bilayer, causing the solubilization of biological membranes, resulting in the cellular destruction of adipocytes (the adipose cells filled with fat)
